Electronic scale
This selection provides a list of the available electronic scales interfaced with ColorD3.
Having an electronic scale attached to the application is useful to measure formula quantities and eventually store those measures in the database.

The weighting function is only available if an electronic scale is selected and properly connected to the correct COM port. |
Scale serial port
This selection provides a list of serial ports (COM) where the electronic scale can be connected.
ColorD3 recognizes and handles all ports available in the Operative System. Due to the popular use of detachable USB serial adapters, the software remembers the last selected port even if it is not currently available.

Some scales can be interfaced without using a serial port (Parallel, USB, PCI etc.). In this case is the scale software driver that keeps track of the correct interfacing of the device. In this situation this selection has not practical effect. |
